100% Arizona Grown Fine Wines
ABOUT US

ARIZONA WINE COUNTRY
Laramita Cellars is nestled in the foothills of the Dos Cabezas mountains in the Willcox AVA of Southeastern Arizona.
Our wines reflect a deep respect for
Old World wine making traditions while incorporating the best modern wine making techniques.

WHAT'S IN A NAME?
We are Laramita Cellars.
But where does it come from?
"La Ramita" expressed as two words means "the twig" in Spanish, but as one word it comes from Arizona's first port of entry from Mexico, the town of Laramita. This town now exists only as a concrete place marker near the city of Douglas,
but it has found new life in this winery.

AUTHENTIC ARIZONA
All of our wines are made from
100% Arizona grown grapes.
Our winery is located on the property of Chiricahua Ranch Vineyards in the
Willcox AVA in Cochise County and we presently grow 18 grape varieties.
Our focus is on sustainability and we incorporate organic approaches to the fullest extent possible in all aspects of our viticulture.

A BIT OF HISTORY
Greg Gonnerman, owner of Laramita Cellars, likes to reminisce while walking among the vineyard rows of his winery property in Willcox.
In 2013, Laramita Cellars at Chiricahua Ranch Vineyards, nestled in the foothills of the Dos Cabezas Mountains, became a reality born of years of hobby winemaking and backyard viticulture.
“I planted in my backyard and at friend’s houses, pretty much anywhere there was room. People kept asking me when I was going to do this professionally” laughs Gonnerman. Greg's passion has continually produced some of Arizona's finest wines and the future holds much more in store.

LOCAL WINE & LOCAL ART
Willcox artist Yolanda Van Der Lelij Klein has been selected to have her artwork featured on the label of the 2024 Rosé by Laramita Cellars.
The selection of her piece, “Spring Time,”
a vibrant and colorful oil painting inspired by her love of flowers, was selected after an extensive search of southern Arizona artwork for the perfect design to represent the wine.
